Pain relievers increase the risk of death for the injured

Researchers from South Korea confirmed in a new study that the person with corona becomes 65% more likely to die when treated with aspirin and certain types of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory analgesics, such as ibuprofen and naproxen.
NSAIDs are common and can be bought at pharmacies without a prescription. These medications are often used to relieve headaches, muscle aches, influenza and arthritis.
Researchers at Songkyunkwan University in Seoul analyzed data from 1824 patients with corona who were hospitalized, and found that those who received a prescription for NSAIDs in the seven days before joining the study, were more likely to die from corona.
The researchers considered that the aim of the study is to confirm that anti-inflammatory "must be used with caution" with people with corona, and called for more experiments to prove the link, according to the British newspaper Daily Mail.
This is the first time that research has indicated a possible link between the deteriorating condition of patients and these prescriptions, but the British Health Authority previously said that there was no "clear evidence" that NSAIDs were dangerous.
