Develop a handheld device to easily detect urinary infections

A large number of people suffer from urinary tract infections all over the world each year, and they may have to wait for the results of urine tests for several days before starting treatment, but a new tool developed recently will enable patients to diagnose urinary infections within less than an hour.
Scientists from South Korea and India have developed a portable tool that can quickly detect urinary tract infections that affect about 150 million people worldwide every year.
Currently, it may take several days for test results to appear, but with the new device, it takes less than an hour. To obtain the diagnosis, a few drops of urine are placed in a chamber of the device, then the device is manually rotated at a high speed. The generated force forces any bacteria to a covered surface, which turns light orange if there is an infection.
A study published in the journal "Nature Biomedica Engineering" showed that the test results are so fast that they appear in less than forty-five minutes, according to the British Daily Mail Online.
